i don’t think that second one is real. you wouldn’t ever see and visible hardware on an authentic. like those bolts on the armrest. also, the one from the photo i submitted with the ashtray is a total knock-off. but very convincing.
Yeah I’m an idiot, I don’t know why I had that one labeled as “real”. Exposed fasteners should have been an obvious tip off. Fixed the quiz.
50%!!! The first one threw me off because I thought the 5-star base was too cone-shaped. Being too cerebral, should have gone with the gut. Also — the one nested in the shag carpet looked like it had only 4-star base, so I would have gotten that one right, too. LOVE the elphantitis chair!

Kinda sad that some of those fakes look better than the real thing. The things people do to their chairs….
hmmmm….striped one , I contend, if fake. The base is all chrome. I thought all bases were black with polishes?
